JAEGER LECOULTRE ATMOS MOON PHASE Cal. 540 CLOCK COMPLETE SET
JAEGER LECOULTRE ATMOS MOON PHASE Cal. 540 CLOCK COMPLETE SETAtmos caliber 540 with moon phase in a gold-plated case, this is a "New Old Stock" item from a private collector, comes with original box and matched serial number tag, manuals and an original moon phase adjustment tool included.Serial number: 706461.Condition:New Old Stock in Excellent working condition! We have the clock run for two days and it maintains excellent performance, keeping excellent time! The original dark blue box has clear signs of wear, the original foam wrap bag for the clock wrapping has been teared, please see the last picture for details. Please understand that you are buying a Atmos clock, the Atmos clocks do not keep perfect time like the modern quartz clocks.I live in Colorado, the city of Colorado Springs is 6,035 feet above sea level, and some of our most celebrated natural attractions are even higher--like Pikes Peak, at an impressive 14,115 feet above sea level. Since this clock is now tuned for time at high altitude, if the new owner lives at a lower altitude, some necessary calibration upon arrival at the destination might be required. After shipping, the Atmos clock might need some adjustment. If you move the Atmos clock from one room to the other,Please make sure to lock the balance wheel before doing any moving and adjustments. The adjustments of the liquid level may be needed after each move.Even if noted as working great, due to its age, it might need service anytime. Please understand that due to the delicate nature of these Atmos clock adjustments may be needed after each move.We have shipped a number of these fine Atmos clocks to various countries without any damage problems. The balance wheel(pendulum) will be locked carefully, and the clock packed with double boxes, ship with full coverage insurance to USA 48 States ONLY. Due to the high value and fragility of this clock, we do not offer international shipping.Interesting facts:Even though Leonardo da Vinci was able to prove that the production of a perpetual motion machine was physically impossible, it was still attempted time and again. In 1928, Neuchatel engineer Jean Leon Reuter invented the technology for a clock whose energy source was drawn from the ambient air, from the atmosphere so to speak. As there were repeated problems with the watches, the movements were manufactured by Le Coultre et Cie in Switzerland from 1933 and in 1935 the production rights for the Atmos watch were transferred to Ets. Ed. Jaeger in 1935.The technical principle of the movements built by Jaeger Le Coultre from 1936 onwards is simply captivating: a mixture of a liquid and ethyl chloride gas is contained in a hermetically sealed capsule. As the temperature rises, the mixture expands, and as the temperature falls, it contracts, causing a bellows in the pressure box on the back of the watch to move like an accordion. This movement continuously winds up the movement. In the range between 15 and 30?C, a change in temperature of just one degree Celsius is enough to provide the energy for around two days of running time. (Condition: New (Other))

Jaeger-LeCoultre ATMOS MANTEL CLOCK 13-Jewel Movement 540, Original Box
Item under consideration is a 9 inch Tall, Jaeger-LeCoultre ATMOS (atmospherical) CLASSIC MANTLE CLOCK, SN 668388, with a jeweled 540 movement and a gilt gold rectangular case. 'The clock that works on air'. Produced in 1987 by Jaeger-LeCoultre located in Geneva, Switzerland.Clock is glass encased with a 24K gold plated bronze frame. Has a Rare Square dial with a gold gilt bezel, applied gold Arabic numerals and indexes positioned on a lacquered white faced dial, 13 jewel 540 movement, and a locking mechanism for transport. The clock is equipped with a glass bubble level and two adjustable front feet to assist in the leveling of the clock, which is necessary for accurate operation.Included are the following:International GuaranteeDirections for Use DocumentOriginal Box with packing material included.Note:Clock is new, never used. Original owner states he received clock in 1994 as a retirement gift, never activated it, placed sealed box in storage, where it remained until Sept. 2021 (27 years).Upon receiving the clock in September, we first balanced and then activated the clock to verify operability. Clock operated for one week continually. Then it was deactivated and stored in original box with original packing material. Clock operated accurately with no fault or errors found during this period.Atmos Clock operation:The Atmos clock operates with no external power source use, never needs to be manually wound by hand or require use of a suspended weight, as most pendulum clocks do. Instead, the Atmos clock gets its power to operate from minute changes in atmospheric temperature. No batteries, no electricity, no manual windings.Extremely accurate and silent. The technical principle behind the Atmos operation is a beguiling one; inside a hermetically sealed capsule is a mixture of gas and liquid which expands as the ambient temperature rises and contracts as it falls, causing the capsule surface to move like a concertina. This motion is utilized to wind up the clock's mainspring. A variation in temperature of one degree C provides sufficient energy for 48 hours of clock operation. The Atmos is specifically designed and built so that there is minimal resistance opposing this small amount of created energy. To convert this small amount of energy into motion, everything inside the Atmos has to work as smoothly and gently as possible. Therefore, all its parts are made of the highest quality material with the greatest of precision, and are practically wear free. Theoretically, an ATMOS clock should expect a service life of at least 600 years. With today's air pollution, service is recommended every 20 years, or so.Connoisseurs of elegant forms, precious materials, and traditional craftsmanship are, also, not disappointed with the Atmos. The frame of this Atmos, under consideration, is 24K Gold plated. Every Atmos is made by hand, with some models requiring a full month to complete a single clock. There are an additional 5 weeks of testing, alinements and fine adjustments that every ATMOS has to successfully complete before acceptance by the master-watchmakers of Jaeger-LeCoultre.The subtle union between the classic and the modern is the secret to the Atmos collection's timelessness. Its unique design allows the observer to view the complexity and operation of its machinery from all angles. The ring shaped balance wheel seems to float in the air, charting the course of time with utter ease and grace. The Atmos clock in its gilded cage is a genuine icon of style and perfection.A unique gem of horological technology. Temperatures changes are its source of power and its balance wheel will operate as long as the sun will shine.Jaeger-LeCoultre's ATMOS Clock is the official gift of the Swiss Confederation, a prestigious group of nation states consigned to armed neutrality. Many historical and political leaders have had the experience of displaying an Atmos clock on their bookshelves and desks.Dimensions: Height- 9.1 inch. Width- 7.1 inch. Length- 5.1 inch. Weight- 10 pounds, 10.4 ounces.Background.In 1928 a French engineer, Jean-Lean Reutter, designed a completely revolutionary clock. A Clock drawing its power to operate from variations in ambient temperature. Jaeger-LeCoultre transposed this concept into a technical reality that they perfected and patented.Production of the Atmos Clock began in 1936. (Condition: New (Other))

Antique Premium Product Ray Schroder Zeppelin Dirigible Chrome Lamp Howard Clock
Antique Premium Product Ray Schroder Zeppelin Dirigible Chrome Lamp Howard Clock …… Made by the Premium Products Company in 1936, this antique Zeppelin Clock and Lamp was designed by Ray A. Schroder. We couldn’t find much about this early 20th Century Designer other than that he designed multiple examples of lamps with Airplanes and Zeppelins. We also found that these Lamps Clocks were produced in only small numbers, so they are quite rare and desirable. ….. The frosted glass Zeppelin-shaped shade measures 12 1/2” long and is in excellent condition. When the shade is on the lamp, it measures 14 3/4” long by 11 1/2” tall with a 9 3/4” by 4 1/4” wide base. The 3 3/4” diameter clock face is marked "Howard Clock Corporation Chicago.” The clock has a spin-to-start mechanism, and when we plugged it gave it a spin; the clock started working but ran fast because we are missing the round weighted piece that slips on top of the pendulum stick. The lamp also works, and a previous owner has placed a blue light bulb, which we will include with the lamp. Although the wiring and socket look to be in good condition, please have them checked out before using this early 20th-century Lamp and Clock in your home. This Zeppelin still retains its original four tin propellers, however, when we removed the glass shade, we found a few issues. Sadly two of the propeller arms were broken and reattached, and also, there is a strong old repair to the center of the zeppelin’s gondola. There are no other problems or restorations and as always, this auction has been listed with No Reserve! …… We give a 100% unconditional Money Back Guarantee that the high bidder will be more than satisfied with the age, quality, condition, and authenticity of this Authentic antique Zeppelin Lamp Clock, or we will return all their money. …… Please check out our other eBay auctions. BEAUTIFUL SETH THOMAS ANTIQUE WESTMINSTER MANTEL CLOCK 113 CHIME NO. 73 CA. 1921
CHIME CLOCK No. 73 – 1921 For offer from my personal collection is this beautiful Seth Thomas Chime Clock No. 73 produced in the year of 1921 and is a chime clock that is truly hard to find. A feature that is not found often is the silver dial along with the different grille work on the sides unlike the model made in 1936. The 6 inch dial ring set on the silver face is in very good condition with a fancy etched pattern on mid top and bottom of the dial. The case of this Chime Clock No. 73 is made of solid and ribbon mahogany. The case has been cleaned with mild clock cleaner and hand waxed to bring out the mahogany patina. The case has no character marks that I can see and all the edges and corners are clean that should show in the pictures. I love the lines on this old beauty. It has an old English design of two carved pillars and a broken arched top. The moldings around the base area are amazing and the grille work on the sides is fancy and detailed. Even the material in the side grilles is original and intact to let out the beautiful Westminster chimes. This is very large, heavy clock that has many great features. It comes with its original pendulum and leader along with a proper sized one-sided key that will make a great conversation piece between your family, friends and guests. Everything about this clock is big and original. The only thing not original are the bronze bushings in the movement that I installed because of worn pivot holes and the one sided winding key. The original wavy glass is incased by a mahogany arched frame door and has some character marks in it that can hardly be seen. I really had to take several photos to show it. The elegant design of the fancy silvered dial is the focal point of the old English design case. You can literally see yourself in the polished silvered background. This model is equipped with a chime lock to prevent the chimes from rattling during transportation of this clock. The hammer tips are like new to bring out the timbre and decay when the clock chimes. The back door opens and closes properly as it should. Sitting on my 30’s theme bar, while keeping accurate time week after week and listening to the beautiful Mayland chime rods sound out the Westminster chime slowly on the quarter-hours really makes this clock a hard one for me to let go. The original 6-inch silvered dial ring of the Chime No. 73 has very little wear on it which some people would consider as mint. The large Arabic numbers are in great shape and can be read from a distance. The signature Seth Thomas black fancy shaped spade hour and minute hands compliment the dial face giving it a classy look. The wood cased door opens and closes properly as it should. The key is one sided because the adjustments for the time and the silent chime is done manually and easily from the front of the clock. All aspects of this clock are fully functional. The eight day Seth Thomas No. 113A Westminster movement is a whopping 5 ½ pounds with its original hold down thumb screws which is not common to see on a clock this old. The movement has been completely taken apart, ultrasonically cleaned, all the pivots polished, all the worn pivot holes bushed, springs cleaned and the whole movement was properly lubricated. The three-train movement has a self-adjusting lever that will automatically correct the chimes at the top of the hour (Activating the chime accidentally and putting back is a great example). Another clock I am selling that is fully functional, wound every Sunday and not just bench tested but tested with the clock put together and working in my house over the past several months to assure that the clock will operate perfectly for the new owner and generations to follow. Each quarter-hour beautifully chimes on the four Mayland chime rods. The first quarter-hour plays four notes. Eight notes on the half hour. 12 notes on the three-quarter hour, followed by 16 notes of the full Westminster chime sequence at the top of each hour followed by the fifth rod struck to mark the hour. The Mayland chimes are by far the most resonant and pleasing to the ear chime that I have ever heard. The regular Seth Thomas Westminster rods are nice, but these chimes are truly beautiful and the best sounding of any chime clock. What I do to ensure you are buying a quality clock. Ø Disassemble the entire clock and movement myself completely.Ø Install Seth Thomas parts on the movement as needed.Ø Bush all worn pivot holes with Burgeon bronze bushings as needed.Ø Clean the entire movement ultrasonically Ø Clean the original dial being careful not to alter its original condition.Ø Clean bezel, parts and chime rods by hand.Ø Clean the outside of the original finish by hand with mild cleaners as well as the inside and apply a coat of wax by hand.Ø I will never alter the finish or farm out the clock not knowing what is being done to the clock. This does decrease the value of a clock.Ø Reassemble the clock, oil/lube in the proper places.Ø Adjust chime and strike hammer sequence properly to assure smooth and even strikes at each quarter-hour and hour.Ø Electronically regulate the beat and adjust the speed while the clock is level to ensure accuracy for many generations.Ø Inspect and adjust every minor detail of the clock assuring full function and peak performance for many years to come.Ø Test the clock for a minimum of two weeks to ensure peak and proper performance for the new owner.Ø Smoke free, pet free home. All clocks are cleaned removing odors.Ø Instructions for set up provided, contact number for on going support and discounted maintenance or repair for your clock.Ø A video player so you can see and hear the clock you are buying. This is a full size chime clock that measures 13 ¾” H X 11” W X 7 ¼” D that would compliment any of your rooms décor with its beauty and sound. This would make a great make up gift for the thoughtless gift you gave for the past holiday’s, a birthday or wedding gift for that special someone or just buying it for your own private collection to pass on down as a family Heirloom. This clock will be carefully packed with my contact number and instructions via FedEx Ground Home Delivery in the continental United States only. Because of its size and weight shipping will be charged at a flat rate of only $55.00. Delivery confirmation insurance and signature required will be included in the flat rate and will be insured at the full selling price. This clock will be sold as is and the seller has the right to end the auction at anytime. This is a need nothing clock except to just level it and wind it once a week. Check back weekly for more Seth Thomas clocks and parts, please email me with any questions, check out my about me page and feedback, take a look at my other items/parts and/or clocks I have currently listed for sale on ebay and I thank you for looking.NAWCC Member No. 0171477 (Condition: Refurbished)

IN ADDITION, THE CHIMES MAINSPRING WAS REPLACED. I USE FINEST QUALITY MAINSPRINGS, NOT INEXPENSIVE REPLACEMENTS!! WEAK MAINSPRINGS AND THE NEED FOR PROPER SERVICING ARE THE PRIMARY CAUSE OF POOR AND UNRELIABLE PERFORMANCE FROM ANTIQUE CLOCKS WITH AN UNKNOWN SERVICE AND CONDITION RECORD!!! THE PENDULUM SWING AMPLITUDE IS A FULL 3 3/8 INCHES FROM THE LEFT OF THE BOB AT LEFT SWING TO THE RIGHT OF THE BOB AT RIGHT SWING – A ROBUST AMPLITUDE EXCEEDING ORIGINAL SPECS AND INDICATING A HEALTHY MOVEMENT. BEWARE OF A #124 MOVEMENT, OR ANY OTHER FOR THAT MATTER, WITH AN ANEMIC PENDULUM SWING – USUALLY A WEAK SWING IS A TALE-TALE INDICATOR OF POOR MOVEMENT HEALTH AND THE NEED FOR MOVEMENT OVERHAUL. IT BEARS MENTIONING THAT A “COMPETE SERVICE AND RESTORE” JOB ON A #124A MOVEMENT, AS DESCRIBED ABOVE, WHEN DONE BY A COMPETENT PROFESSIONAL IS IN THE $4O0 RANGE. THAT IS ANOTHER REASON FOR THE DISCRIMINATING EBAY ANTIQUE BUYER TO CHOOSE WHEN PURCHASING!! WORKMANSHIP AND QUALITY – ALL OF MY SETH THOMAS ANTIQUE CLOCKS ARE FULLY RESTORED IN EVERY WAY UNLESS SPECIFICALLY STATED OTHERWISE. GREAT CARE IS TAKEN TO INSURE THAT EACH AND EVERY ONE FUNCTIONS PROPERLY, IS FULLY OPERATIONAL, MEETS OR EXCEEDS ORIGINAL PERFORMANCE SPECS, AND IS BENCH TESTED WHEN SHIPPED. MY SINCERE HOPE IS TO EXCEED YOUR EXPECTATIONS IN EVERY WAY. AS WITH ALL MECHANICAL CLOCK MOVEMENTS, SOME ADJUSTMENTS MAY BE NECESSARY WHEN SETTING UP AFTER SHIPMENT, AND THE CLOCK IS SOLD AS IS. Outstanding Ansonia "Crystal Palace" No. 1 Clock, 8 Day T&S, Clean & Running
This is an Ansonia "Crystal Palace No. 1" clock, in working condition, complete with Dome. Outstanding Ansonia "Crystal Palace" No. 1 Clock, 8 Day T&S, Clean & Running Outstanding Ansonia "Crystal Palace" No. 1 Clock, 8 Day T&S, Clean & Running Click images to enlarge Description Heritage Matters SCARCE & POPULAR ANSONIA CLOCK CRYSTAL PALACE No. 1 8 DAY T&S CIRCA 1880s This is a guaranteed genuine antique Ansonia Crystal Palace No. 1 clock. Various different figures are seen in these clocks; this one has the Hunter (or Rifleman) and the Fisherman. It is possible that the base was refinished some years ago, I am not sure. As far as I can tell, everything is ORIGINAL: the statues, the pendulum, dial, hands, AND the glass dome! That makes it especially desirable. Altogether, it stands about 19 inches tall, on a 15 X 6 inch base. The top of the dial is 16.5 inches tall, while the dome itself is 17 inches tall. These were expensive clocks when new, and the first owners tended to take very good care of them. That was not always the case with subsequent owners however, especially if they thought the clock was old-fashioned or hopelessly out of style. In these cases, it was often consigned to a damp basement or attic, or some out-building, and the domes often got broken in the process. This particular example however seems to have escaped such a fate; you can tell it was well cared for throughout its life. There is some loss of gold wash on the statues (I understand it was very thin to begin with, and ordinary household cleaners can easily remove it). There is some roughness to the base of the dome, but nothing that (in my opinion) rises to the level of a chip, and absolutely NO cracks or breaks. I am quite certain the mirror is original, with a small amount of darkening. The dial is good and quite uniform in color. The wood which supports the movement has minimal scarring ( see photos), and actually may be original to the wood used. The movement was rather clean when I got it, but I cleaned it ultrasonically anyway and lubricated it. It is running quite nicely now and strikes the hour and half-hour on a bell. It comes with a key, which is modern. I have seen some date this model as early as 1875. However, the patent date on the movement is 1882, so that probably dates it to the 1880s. The model name seems to have been "borrowed" from the Crystal Palace at the 1851 London Exposition. That glass and iron building, regarded as the first truly "modern" building, enclosed some 19 acres. It was moved to the London suburb of Sydenham about 1854. Although deteriorated, it stood until 1936 when destroyed by a fire. I sell all electrical and mechanical devices in "as-is" condition as they can easily get out of adjustment or even broken in transit. Even then, however, you still have a 30 day inspection period during which the item can be returned or any reason--however it must be returned in the same condition in which I shipped it, meaning if there is damage, an insurance claim must be made. Please ask questions and study the photos carefully, as they are part of the description. PLEASE NOTE: this clock will be shipped in TWO boxes, one of the clock itself and the other for the dome. Placing both in one box is an almost certain recipe for breakage! Consequently, the first invoice (which eBay sends out automatically) will not be correct, and payment based on it will not be honored. Wait until you receive a second invoice, which I will send out as soon as I can after the end of the sale. Box #1 will be 20 X 14 X 12 inches and weighs 12 pounds. Box #2 will be 24 X 18 X 12 inches and weighs 10 pounds. A box that size is necessary to protect the dome. Both will be shipped from Zip Code 20601. You may of course run these dimensions through your preferred shipper, OR contact me for a binding cost, which will include the eBay shipping discount. Should there be a problem with your purchase, please contact me directly through the eBay mail system. I can and will do the same things directly that I would through eBay, and probably more quickly. NO RESERVE! MY PLEDGE TO YOU: no surprises! I will provide high-resolution scans; I will fully describe each item, obverse and reverse, positives and negatives, possibilities, likelihoods, what I suspect, and which is which; and I will provide as much historical context as I can. Now, I believe that the only people who never make mistakes are those who never say or do anything, so consequently, there will be times I am wrong. There, you are covered by my guarantee. MY GUARANTEE TO YOU: I guarantee each item to be genuine as described. After you receive your purchase, you will have a 30 day inspection period; and if you are dissatisfied for any reason, simply return the item (in its original condition) for an immediate refund of your purchase price. Furthermore, if in the inspection period, you decide to send the item for expertizing, I will extend the period until its return from the expert of your choice. If it returns with an opinion of not genuine, or of being significantly different from how I describe it, I will also reimburse you for the expertizing fee. And the ONLY exception to my guarantee is that I am not responsible for mishandling by the mail system, and any damages incurred therein. That is what insurance is for, and it is automatic on this item.
