An Outstanding and Faithful of a Girandole Wall Timepiece, Originally Created in 1811 by Lemuel Curtis of Concord, Massachusetts (The original is currently on display at the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston) This Successful Recreation was made in 1968 by Elmer Stennes of East Weymouth, Massachusetts. Rare Large Antique French Gilt Bronze Empire Clock - Bechot a Paris & Feuchère
This listing is for a rare French bronze clock.This masterpiece dates to around 1811 and is made from gilt bronze. It’s really quite stunning The clock was made in the traditional allegorical form inspired by ancient Greek and Roman mythologyThis one tells the story of Diana, the huntressThe clock movement is by Bechot of Paris. His signature on the dial has faded, but is still fairly visibleThe case is believed to be a masterpiece by Pierre François Feuchère. The initials “P.F.” are on the inside of all 4 feet The clock measures 14.75 x 5.5 x 20.5 inches.It appears to be in overall good condition. Some minor tarnishing from age, but nothing out of the ordinary with age and normal wear The silk thread movement was last serviced in 2019. We recently tested it and it ran and chimedPlease note that any mechanical clock that is shipped might require adjustments upon arrival. Thus time accuracy is not guaranteed. ANTIQUE CIRCA 1765 WORKING SINGLE HANDED GEORGIAN GRANDFATHER LONG CASE CLOCK
IT WAS MADE BY JOHN STONE OF AYLESBURY ENGLAND AROUND 1765. THERE ARE SEVERAL SERVICE DATES SCRATCHED INTO THE BACK OF THE DIAL THE EARLIEST BEING 1811! IT IS 81" TALL. I'M SURE ANYONE BUYING THIS KNOWS IT'S A FAIRLY EASY PROCESS.

Early English chain fusee carriage clock movement Adated 1811
Early English fusee movement signed Berncastle, Lewes 1811. This is a quality chain fusee movement and is complete, but selling as a project. The hour and minute motion work are later, but will work well. The screw holding the motion work is a smaller thread than its hole, so will either need a different screw or tap a new hole to fit.The missingbottom right pin has now been found and put back.<br />Lewes is the capital of Sussex about an hour south of London.As a point of interest, the maker Berncastle may well have originally come from Berncastel in Germany.

Samuel Marti was born on September 20, 1811 in Langenthal, Canton of Bern in Switzerland. He was the son of Jean Marti and Barbe Neukom. In 1830 he moved to Montbéliard in France. From 1841 he was the sole owner of the S. Marti & Cie.
