 A particularly good 30 hour, single hand, hook & spike lantern clock by John Baker of Sevenoaks. There are several references to John Baker, flourishing in circa 1735. The face of this clock being of a known design also used on a latter longcase clock by John Baker.

 The dial is then brass with an arched top and silvered chapter ring. The dial then has brass spandrils to each corner as well as the arch. The dial is then signed in the arch â??Xtopr Tucker Londonâ? to show that the dial was originally made by Christopher Tucker London circa 1735.
