The depth is 3 1/2 inches.Made of oak wood and brass.The clock is dated 1682 as shown in photo #3 and #4.This clock is centuries old, My guess is the 1800's.A small piece of molding is missing as shown in photo (#8).There may be other components missing I am not aware of.I do not know if the clock runs.The clock is being sold As Is, Where Is, with all faults Horologically interesting, A nice addition to any collection Condition:
