Antique JUNGHANS Westminster Gothic Style Wall Clock: 1920-30s

Highest quality solid brass plate quarter strike 8-day wind three train suspension spring Westminster movement is in unrestored condition; 6 ½” diameter white porcelain clock face with black colored French Gothic stylized Roman numerals is surrounded by a brass trim ring; elongated solid mahogany wood case baring the JUNGHANS seal executed in the French Gothic style includes ribbon fold side panels, 5 pointed 4 sided carved wood spires, facial relief mounted above dial, beveled glass cut to fit the trefoil door panels, pointed Gothic arches above & below the clock case & a hand carved mahogany Quasimodo holding up the clock case on his hunchback; hour & minute hands are ornately designed in the French Gothic style & finished in black color; 4 individual chime hammers play the Westminster melody with 4 chime hammers combined to sound the hours; 8 brass chimes rods are mounted to cast iron sound sink located within the clock case which reflects the soothing chime melody; adjustable brass pendulum weight; both movement & chime assemblies are mounted securely to case. Masterfully made solid mahogany clock case; ornate Gothic framed front door has a roller latch & brass pull located on the left side & is hinged on the right side; door contains both a domed clear glass along with beveled cut glass (original glass in mint condition); all wood trim fitted properly & securely fastened to case. I am an antique clock collector wishing to reduce my clock collection. This clock comes from my collection & has been running successfully for several years with no difficulties. It has been tested prior to this offering. Clock set-up to establish the correct “beat” is paramount to the clock’s operation, accomplished through placement & leveling. Additionally, temperature & humidity may affect it over time as well. Do not over wind the clock. Lastly, I cannot not guarantee the clock’s operation once shipped. I do take pride as a seller and buyer of these clocks. All shipments will be carefully hand wrapped in bubble wrap (key & pendulum wrapped separately) set tightly into box containing Styrofoam peanuts, tapped shut & then placed into second box (as may be necessary) filled with padding for added protection, taped shut on all sides.
