Quarter Strike Grand Sonnerie Re French Style Mystery Gravity Driven Gilt Incline Rolling Clock - No Spring or Battery This very unusual clock is never wound with a key, but does feature a totally mechanical movement. The Rolling Clock receives its power from a counterweight inside the heavy brass case. The case slowly rolls down a delicately carved wooden plane, yet keeps the hand-painted porcelain dial upright all the time. At the end of the running period, simply replace the clock at the top of the plane, and it continues to run, without missing a beat. This nice clock has 7 jeweled movement. And the hand carved base is made of rose wood. Dimension: Movement: 5" in diameter x 4" deep; Base: 4-1/2" high x 21-1/4" wide x 4-5/8" deep. You will never need to wind this clock and it's totally mechanical. You will find the exactly the same clock displayed in the Palace Museum of Forbidden City in Beijing. FERRIS WHEEL FALLING BALL GRAVIT FERRIS WHEEL FALLING BALL GRAVITY DRIVEN BRASS CASE CRYSTAL REGULATOR CLOCK - No Winding!! Here we are offering a fantastic mystery Ferris wheel bearing ball driven crystal regulator clock. Unlike traditional wind up or weight driven clock, this unique clock receive its working power from a series of large steel ball bearing, which rolling down the top tray. The steel balls are quite in good size too, 2" in diameter. And there are 16 of them. When the ball clears on the Ferris wheel, it simply rolls down to the bottom drawer. After it collects a few of the steel ball bearing, you simply replace them back on the top tray, which has designated channels that allows the balls to roll down to the large Ferris wheel. The top lion can be easily lifted off and reveals the large channels. It just takes a few seconds to get the large steel balls back on the track. This is truly unusual clock. The clock case is made solid brass with large beveled glass on all four sizes. This is a very heavy clock. It weights 50 lbs. with the ball bearings installed. The size of this clock is also magnificent. It's 23-1/2" tall, 11-3/4" wide, and 9-1/8" deep. This clock has a multiple color porcelain dial and a visible platform movement through the round window at 12 o'clock position. Just below the dial, you will notice a barometer and a thermometer on the left. They certainly offer you more info than other clocks. This clock is almost identical to the one that is currently in display at Palace Museum of Forbidden City in Beijing. That clock is made around 1885 and given by the French government to the Emperor of Qing Dynasty. This clock is in good working order. It is a "must have" piece for any clock collector. When the ball clears on the Ferris wheel, it simply rolls down to the bottom drawer. After it collects a few of the steel ball bearing, you simply replace them back on the top tray, which has designated channels that allows the balls to roll down to the large Ferris wheel. There is a front door below the finials and reveals the large channels. It just takes a few seconds to get the large steel balls back on the track. This is truly unusual clock. The clock has an ebony wood case with large beveled glass on all four sizes. The size of this clock is also magnificent. It's 22" tall and 10-1/2" wide. This clock has a porcelain dial and a visible platform movement through the round window at 12 o'clock position. Just below the dial, you will notice a barometer and a thermometer on the left. They certainly offer you more info than other clocks. The solid brass lion is standing on a black marble platform.
